Urano completes acquisition of Portuguese veterinary clinical analysis laboratory Vetinlab

Urano has completed the acquisition of the Portuguese veterinary clinical analysis laboratory Vetinlab (www.vetinlab.com), with a long history in the Portuguese market. Vetinlab provides its services to clinical veterinarians of companion animals in the areas of Haematology, Clinical Biochemistry, Cytology, Microbiology, Parasitology, Endocrinology, Serology and Molecular Biology. The operation has been completed with the absorption of the activity of the Vetpat Anatomical Pathology Laboratory, so that the new UranolabPT laboratory complements its range of laboratory services with the offer of specialised anatomopathological diagnosis, incorporating professionals of recognised prestige in the country.

The acquisition was made through its subsidiary UranolabPT, in which Urano Vet and Campifarma hold shares. Campifarma will bring all his commercial experience and knowledge of the Portuguese market. 

With this acquisition, together with the recent opening of a laboratory in Madrid, Urano consolidates its position as a reference in the veterinary diagnostics market both in Spain and Portugal, being the only laboratory of veterinary clinical analysis that offers coverage of the entire Iberian market, with offices in Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon.
